Eligible home school and Alternative Education Students have the opportunity to participate in Panther Athletics through the GAPPS AES program.
Compete as a Panther
Peachtree Academy welcomes eligible home school and Alternative Education Students (AES) to explore opportunities to participate in our competitive athletic program. As a member of the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS), Peachtree Academy works with GAPPS to determine AES eligibility and participation.
GAPPS Eligibility
GAPPS oversees AES eligibility. Students must complete the GAPPS AES application and receive approval before moving forward with participation.
Team Availability
Participation depends on team availability and available roster space within the Peachtree Academy athletic program.
Panther Standards
AES student-athletes joining Panther teams become part of an athletic program centered on character, excellence and community.
How the AES Process Works
Families begin with GAPPS eligibility and then work with Peachtree Academy Athletics to determine available opportunities.
Complete the GAPPS Application
Submit the GAPPS AES application for your student. GAPPS oversees the eligibility approval process.
Eligibility Notification
Once the application is submitted and approved, GAPPS will notify Peachtree Academy of the student's eligibility.
Discuss Team Opportunities
Contact the Peachtree Academy Athletic Department to discuss team opportunities, roster availability and next steps.
Complete Peachtree Requirements
Meet with school leadership and athletic staff, complete required paperwork and submit the athletic participation fee for the sport.

Start by completing the GAPPS AES application. After GAPPS approves eligibility, Peachtree Academy can work with your family to discuss available athletic opportunities.

GAPPS approval establishes AES eligibility, but participation on a Peachtree Academy team is not automatically guaranteed.
Participation is dependent on team availability and available roster space.
AES students may fill roster gaps but cannot displace currently enrolled Peachtree Academy students.
GAPPS approval does not guarantee placement on a team. Students must meet with athletic staff and may be asked to participate in tryouts.
Required paperwork and the athletic participation fee must be completed for each sport before participation.
