Representing Peachtree Through the Arts

Peachtree Academy students have opportunities to participate in GAPPS-sponsored fine arts events through literary competition, theatre and visual arts. These experiences allow students to develop their talents, challenge themselves and represent their school through creative expression and performance.

Fine Arts Opportunities

Three Ways to Compete & Create

Students can participate in GAPPS fine arts through literary events, theatrical performance and visual art.

Literary Competition

Middle and high school students compete in events that include writing, public speaking, acting and singing.

One-Act Theatre

Students have opportunities to participate onstage or through technical theatre as they represent Peachtree in One-Act events.

Visual Arts Competition

Students can compete across a variety of artistic categories at elementary, middle and high school skill levels.

Literary Competition

Finding a Voice Through Performance & Expression

The annual literary competition gives middle and high school students opportunities to compete with students from around the region in several areas of written and performance-based expression.

Writing Students can demonstrate their skills through written expression.

Public Speaking Students develop confidence while communicating ideas before an audience.

Acting Performance opportunities allow students to demonstrate theatrical skills.

Singing Vocal performance is another area represented within literary competition.

Regional & State Competition Students who perform well at the regional level may advance to statewide competition.

Theatre Competition

One-Act Competition & Festival

One-Act gives students the opportunity to bring a complete theatrical production to life within a focused performance format.

Students can participate as performers or assist with technical elements, giving both cast and crew an opportunity to contribute their talents.

Explore Theatre

Fall Competition Students in grades 7–12 are welcome to audition or sign up to assist with technical elements of the One-Act Competition.

Spring Festival A Middle School One-Act Festival follows in the spring for students in grades 5–8.

A Focused Production The One-Act play is typically less than 50 minutes long, challenging students to create a complete theatrical experience within a limited performance time.

Creating With Purpose Through the rehearsal and production process, students work together to create quality work that reflects Peachtree's Christian mission.

The Visual Arts Competition is held in the spring and includes Elementary, Middle and High School skill levels. Students have opportunities to represent Peachtree through a variety of visual art and photography categories.
