Peachtree Academy Graduation Requirements
Understanding graduation requirements early helps students make informed decisions about course selection, Dual Enrollment, and their plans after high school.
English
Includes Literature and Composition coursework throughout grades 9–12, with AP English options available.
Social Studies
Includes American Government, World History, U.S. History, and Economics.
Mathematics
Students complete four units of mathematics as part of their high school graduation program.
Science
Includes Biology, Physical Science or Physics, Chemistry or Environmental Science, and an additional approved science course.
Required Electives
Includes Health, Personal Fitness, Comparative Religion, Spanish I, Spanish II, and Fine Arts/Technology.
Additional Electives
Students complete an additional 3.5 elective credits based on individual interests and course availability.

College and career planning begins well before senior year. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, set goals, understand their options, and take purposeful steps throughout high school.

Dual Enrollment at Peachtree Academy
Dual Enrollment gives eligible high school students the opportunity to take approved college courses while completing their Peachtree Academy diploma requirements.
Eligible courses may count toward both high school and college credit, allowing students to experience college-level coursework while continuing their high school education.

Peachtree Academy Expectations
- Students must receive Peachtree Academy approval before enrolling.
- Students must remain in good academic standing.
- Students must follow Peachtree Academy academic and behavioral policies.
- Students remain responsible for Peachtree Academy graduation requirements.
- Students must also follow the policies of their participating college or university.
Dual Enrollment Application Process
Students interested in Dual Enrollment should begin the process early and work with Peachtree Academy before selecting or registering for college courses.
Start With Peachtree
Before registering for Dual Enrollment courses, students should meet with the appropriate Peachtree Academy administrator to discuss eligibility, graduation requirements, course selection, and the application process.

Meet with Peachtree Academy.
Discuss your interest in Dual Enrollment and review your academic plan and eligibility. -
Select a participating college.
Research participating institutions and determine which program best fits your academic goals. -
Apply to the college.
Complete the college or university admissions application and satisfy its admission requirements. -
Complete the GAfutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application.
Complete the required student and parent/guardian participation steps through GAfutures. -
Submit required documentation.
Provide requested forms, transcripts, test scores, or acceptance information. -
Review and approve courses.
Work with Peachtree Academy to ensure proposed college courses align with graduation requirements before registration.
Understanding Eligibility & Funding
Georgia's Dual Enrollment Funding Program has specific eligibility, course, grade-level, and funding requirements. Requirements can change, so families should review current information provided by GAfutures before applying.
Grade-Level Eligibility
11th & 12th Grade:
Eligible students may take approved Dual Enrollment
courses at participating eligible postsecondary institutions.
10th Grade:
State-funded eligibility is more limited and depends
on current Georgia program requirements.
9th Grade:
Students are not currently eligible for Georgia's
state-funded Dual Enrollment program.
Funding
Georgia's Dual Enrollment Funding Program provides funding for approved courses for eligible students, subject to current state program requirements and funding limits.
Peachtree Academy tuition and applicable school fees remain the responsibility of the family.
Families should review current GAfutures information for funding limits, eligible courses, participating institutions, and other program requirements.
